Product Details
Alli is the first and currently the only over the counter weight loss drug that is actually approved by the FDA. They claim to help you to make lifestyle changes, and their advertising has changed according to FDA stipulations even within the short time their product has actually been out. They don’t claim to be the miracle pill by any means, just a means of helping you to be serious about your diet, and Alli is not for everybody.
The Good
In clinical studies, Alli has been shown to actually lower bad cholesterol levels when used over extended periods of time.
The Bad
Their clinically proven ingredient has not been shown to promote substantial weight loss results, unless of course you count 5-10% weight loss over a year’s period of time as significant. We find that with diet and exercise, most people lose that or more in 1-2 months! So obviously, it’s actually slowing you down. This being said, the side effects may not be dangerous as in psychosis. But they certainly are dangerous to your social life.
The Skinny
Alli is a fat blocker that does not actually promote real and lasting weight loss. It does not help you to achieve real results, and some would say it even technically slows down your weight loss. They advertise it the way they do, saying it’s not for everybody, as an excuse. Basically, if you fail, even though the studies would say otherwise, it’s not their fault, it’s all your fault. We would not recommend bothering with Alli.
